The site was not selected for allocation in the emerging Local Plan, so a speculative application was progressed on the basis that the Council could not demonstrate an adequate supply of housing land. The outline application was refused at Committee in 2021, so an appeal was lodged. The appeal decision was received in 2023 and granted outline planning permission for up to 94 dwellings. The site was sold to Bellway in 2024.
