Scott Properties were able to promote the site through every stage of the emerging Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan, achieving an allocation for mixed-use development. An outline application was submitted in 2022 for up to 1,530 dwellings alongside land for a new primary school, local centre, community hub, allotments and significant recreation and public open space provision. A Resolution to Grant was granted in 2023.
