We worked extensively with the Planning and Heritage Officers throughout the project to ensure that the application was recommended for approval despite not being allocated in the emerging Local Plan. The proposals needed to respond positively to a sensitive heritage asset adjacent to the site, and also facilitated improved pedestrian accessibility to the train station in the village, one of the few in the District. Outline planning permission for up to 118 dwellings was achieved in 2017 and the site was sold later the same year following a competitive tender process.
